The ICS is an indigenous nonprofit, nonreligious, nonpolitical organization registered for operations in Sierra Leone by the three founding members.

 

Founding Members

Vidal B. Roberts

Chairman ICS

 

Mr. Roberts is a graduate in general Agriculture and Extension Services; holds certifications in project management and has over 20 year hands-on experience managing community development projects in Sierra Leone. He is the Director of the local NGO; Siera Gras-roots agency (SIGA).

Gladys N. Conteh

Secretary/ Project Manager

 

 

 

Gladys Conteh is a qualified secretary and seasoned administrator She hold a Diploma in Human Resources Administration has acquired considerable experience working for and NGO.

 

Michael M. Sesay

Treasurer

General Membership and Management

The ICS is open for membership to all low income earners in Sierra Leone that meets the criteria for membership. The current membership includes:

  • School teachers

  • Low level employees of government and the private sector

  • Petty traders

  • Farmers and small industry producers

  • Drivers and security officers

  • Services providers, cleaners, show makers

 

 Typical Members

The overall management of the ICS is by the Executive Management Committee (EMC) made up of the three founding members and other members elected by the general membership. The Project Manager is in charge of the daily activities supervised by the Chairman. The ICS offers limited employment and volunteer opportunities for members with reasonable experience and qualifications in the areas of records management, sensitization, premium and savings mobilization and management of the micro credit scheme.
